DRAMA RECONSTRUCTION
Drama reconstruction is one of the parts of filmmaking I enjoy most — finding ways to bring real events back to life with cinematic energy while staying grounded in factual storytelling.
Across true crime, history and disaster documentaries, I’ve directed reconstruction sequences ranging from intimate emotional moments to large-scale action scenes involving firearms, prison riots and emergency response. My approach is always rooted in authenticity: building scenes from witness testimony, archive research and forensic detail to create reconstructions that feel immersive rather than sensationalised.
I work closely with contributors, actors, DOPs and editors to ensure every sequence serves the story emotionally as well as visually. Whether filming stylised drama for premium documentaries or fast-turnaround reconstruction for factual television, I’m particularly interested in creating atmosphere, tension and character while maintaining editorial credibility.
Recent reconstruction work includes The White House Farm Murders: The New Evidence, Inside Strangeways, The Chernobyl Disaster and Inside The Palace.
