A feature documentary examining the devastating 1992 Windsor Castle fire through the accounts of the firefighters who battled to save one of Britain’s most iconic royal residences.

I directed contributor interviews with firefighters and key witnesses involved in the operation, many of whom had rarely spoken publicly about the scale, chaos and emotional impact of the disaster. The film combined first-hand testimony, rare archive material, GFX reconstruction and cinematic storytelling to recreate the dramatic events inside the castle as the fire spread through the historic state apartments.

A major focus of the documentary was balancing forensic detail with the human story behind the emergency response — capturing both the complexity of the rescue effort and the enormous cultural significance of the building itself.

The production involved extensive archive research and close editorial collaboration to reconstruct the timeline of the fire and the decisions made during the operation.

The Daily Telegraph described the documentary as:
“forensic” and “serious-minded”.
